Randy loves it for the golf, but also because he can hop on his mountain bike and take off for McDowell Mountain Park, adjacent to Rio Verde, and enjoy an easy or challenging ride. Our friends ride road bikes, there Are a whole group to ride with and a bike lane just outside the entrance to Rio that will take you to Fountain Hills for coffee. There are several very nice golf courses close by, Trilogy is approx. 5 mins away, Troon North and Tonto Verde Golf Clubs are just a 10-15min drive down the road and Grey Hawk is approx. 25-30 mins away, just to name a couple of the local courses. There are accommodations for two or three horses and miles of trails to ride on. Recreational opportunities include fishing, hiking ,mountain biking, dirt biking, ATV trails, mountain climbing, and watching the wildlife. The backyard has a small pool, kitchen, fireplace and seating for about 40 people. If you are a golfer your will be in a great spot. To many courses to count within a thirty mile radius. We are on the property in our large 5th wheel trailer. It is situated in a location that is out of site from inside the house and the back yard. Please add $20 per animal per night. This is a rural area and you will be serenaded by coyotes and roosters. There are no street lights so the stars are magnificent at night. There is about a mile of dirt road to get to the house ,and it is reachable by normal car ( but maybe not a low riding sports car). There are desert dirt pathways to your room and the barn, so bring appropriate footwear. We offer free parking for your horse trailer and have room for up to a 4 horse trailer without living quarters. If you have something larger, ask. We could accommodate your living quarters horse trailer, but no dump facility. We have a working farm with horses, mini cows, chickens, goats, and dogs. They are fun to watch but do make farm animal noises. We do farm tours by request. We often have new goat babies that are fun to play with ( but no promises). We are nearby some awesome hiking, mountain biking, horse trail riding, world class golf course, exceptional places to eat, unique shopping. Great fun!
